Business Experience & Education

Before entering the legal profession, Tim earned an MBA from the University of California-Berkeley with a focus on finance (and, to be honest, golf).  After a challenging stint as a tenant improvement construction manager, he worked as a credit and property underwriter for a national multifamily FannieMae lender in San Francisco and later Santa Fe.

Tim subsequently worked for an institutional investment advisory firm, initially as a financial analyst in the firm’s acquisition group and later as an asset manager overseeing a portfolio of office and industrial properties and participating in the due diligence review of new acquisitions.

More recently, Tim served as in-house counsel for an early stage software company.  In that capacity, he was responsible for customer contracts, vendor contracts, human resources support, insurance policies, facilities leases, and special projects., and worked with outside counsel on employee visas and trademark registrations.
